Winter Sowing in Jugs Workshop
Learn how to sow seeds in January and forget about them until Spring!
We will use milk or water jugs as a mini-greenhouse. You will learn, practice, and take home planted jugs to place outside. Seeds will freeze and thaw throughout the winter, breaking down the seed coat and encouraging germination!
Pre-Registration is required. Go to UMaine Extension site to register
Cost: $10.00 (includes jugs, seeds and special seed sowing soil)
This two-hour workshop will be led by Martha Bunim Moss. Martha is a UMaine Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Volunteer. She has eight years of experience with this technique.
